If you wish to avail of this training, you must be currently working in the racing industry and have done so for at least the past twelve months. You will firstly need to complete and return the application form which is available to download here. CARE will need to verify that you are working in the industry before payment can be processed, details of the verification process are outlined below:
Please note that you must have a public service card to sit the driving test in the Republic of Ireland.
Applicants who are PAYE employees within the industry are required to verify this by providing copies of payslips along with the completed application form, for example, if you apply for the HGV driving training in May 2018, you will need to provide a copy of a payslip from April 2018 and April 2017. CARE does not wish to see wage details and this information can be blacked out if the applicant wishes to do so, copies of payslips and licences will be securely disposed following review.
If you are a self-employed individual working in the equine industry and wish to apply for the HGV training please contact Elaine Burke in CARE directly on 045 455619 or on email at [email protected].
Following verification you will be contacted by CARE and payment can be arranged using one of the two methods below:
1. You can pay for your place with a credit or debit card payment here.
2. You can pay via your HRI account using the authorisation form which is available to download here.
